An Online Booking and Access System

A Sports Company required the development of an integrated Call
Centre / Website and Access Control system to allow customers to
book and pay for tennis courts over the phone or via the internet.
The customer upon payment receives a Pin number. Robust Controllers,
stationed at the access points to the sports facilities, grant access
and control lights. This system is a very cost effective solution
to most present booking problems and is claimed to be more convenient
for patrons.

The Access Controllers utilise a custom Microcontroller
programmed in C. The unit has several challenging design features:
- It had to be vandal and weather proof
- It logs door activity
- Control lights
- Intercom options for manned facilities
- Welcomes patrons and issues instructions
- Must survive Power interruptions and maintain bookings, activity
logs and a RTC accurately
The Callcenter software had several core features:
- Ability to have very flexible price structures calculated automatically
- E-commerce
- Linked to website to update webpages with new centres and bookings
instantly
- Account management
- CRM - customer relationship management features
- Booking management
